PPSEAWA has a long history of organizing international conferences. Since the first international conference held during the summer of 1928 in Hawaii, PPSEAWA conferences have provided opportunities for women to learn, discuss and act on global and regional issues.
In addition to serious discourse, several cultural performances by the delegates are included, to entertain the participants and give time to relax.
Held every three years, International conferences serve the purpose of strengthening the bonds of friendships and reinforcing members’ commitments to peace, by attending lectures, workshops, and programmes on conference themes relating to women, family, social and environmental issues. UN representatives speak on UN activities and lead panel discussions.
