The Youth Development Committee of PPSEAWA Thailand organized a workshop “How to Surf Safe and Smart Online” on cyberbullying and the negative impact of social media for 226 elementary and secondary school students at the Srisangwan School for Children with Disabilities.
Chavali Pamela Osathanugrah, President of PPSEAWA Thailand, alongside Ms Supatchana Asadathorn, 1st VP and Youth Development Committee Chair, spoke about how to connect positively online, how to protect oneself from online threats and raised awareness of respect for one’s rights and reputation on the internet. An expert from the Foundation of the Internet for Thai Development was invited as guest speaker for this event. The workshop was divided into 2 sessions targeting different groups of students. The morning session was for elementary school students (Year 4-6) and the afternoon session was for secondary school students (Year 7-10).
PPSEAWA also hosted lunch for 450 school members including students, teachers and staff.
