Message from the PPSEAWA International President:
Greetings!
I do hope this finds you all well even though there are still new waves of COVID-19 cases in some countries. I pray that you and all your loved ones are safe and hopefully the situation will be better soon.
Since the beginning of the year, so many things have happened in our lives, both happy and sad. I’m delighted for those who have happiness, and I’d like to send my heart and condolences out to those who have faced difficulties and some that lost their loved ones. Please stay strong and know that you have friends all around who are ready to comfort you.
The Tokyo Olympics allowed us to come together via the broadcasting of the games and we somehow feel close to our friends once more. It was really the time of peace for everyone around the world.
21st of September is the day to commemorate the International Peace Day.
I believe that peace is an everyday process and it is up to each of us to make it happen. Once peace is achieved within ourselves and inside our homes, peace can then be shared with others around us.
I came across two beautiful quotes which I would like to share with you:
“It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it.” - Eleanor Roosevelt
“Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.” - Albert Einstein
One of our objectives is Peace through understanding, which I do strongly believe in. I’m certain that all PPSEAWA Sisters have that Peace in your hearts and are ready to share it with many others to “make the world a better place”.
Lastly, I’d like to convey my love and well wishes for a beautiful and peaceful day everyday to each of you. May peace be in your heart. Keep smiling to make those around you happy, as Mother Teresa once said that “Peace begins with a smile“.
