PPSEAWA celebrates the International Day of the Girl on 11 October 2023!
The theme was invest in Girls’ Rights: our leadership and well-being. As an organization devoted to the women and children in the Asia-Pacific region, PPSEAWA stands together with the Working Group on Girls (WGG) to ensure the human rights and inclusion of every child. PPSEAWA believes that girls need inclusive learning environments to exercise their voice and gain leadership skills. PPSEAWA ensure quality education for girls living in vulnerable conditions, such as school support for migrant children and their families along the border of Thailand, bringing STEM projects in villages from Fiji to Malaysia, and scholarships for girls at a school for the hearing impaired in India, founded by a member.
