On March 8th, International Women’s Day, we implemented an online seminar planned by the Project Committee.
The main project of the Committee is the “P café”, whose purpose is to promote friendship among members and raise funds. The “P café” was named after PPSEAWA and Peace. The seminar is one of the projects of the ”P café”.
At first members intended to gather at the office in Tokyo, but it was difficult for all local members to visit there, so an online seminar started for them to be able to join.
The lecturer of this seminar was Ms. Yukiko Takezawa, Vice President of PPSEAWA Japan. The title of her talk was “ Norway this and that~Is Norway the best country to live in? About women and peace”. Ms. Takezawa lived in Norway for three years and received a Master’s in Political Science from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. She introduced the country from various aspects such as nature, women’s participation, politics, its Royal Family, culture, etc. Most of the participants had never been there, so they were very interested in the lecture.
